I have worked to empower students as an Executive Function & Writing Coach, College Admission Essay Counselor, & Educational Consultant for over 20 years.
With a background in Sociology & Literature, I have served as a teacher at Berkeley High School and multiple East Bay liberal arts schools. I earned my Master's degree and teaching credential through the Berkeley Teacher Education Program at UC Berkeley.
I truly enjoy what I do for work – engaging my clients in a purposeful, liberating process; bringing critical thinking and insight to their writing and academic lives.
Nothing is more rewarding than watching my clients develop and complete their writing projects at the highest level, master a new skill with confidence, or ultimately get accepted to the college of their dreams.

With my calm, focused, and good-humored manner, I show students, step by step, how to compose stellar admissions essays and effective applications. Together, we focus on presenting a cohesive, meaningful narrative that weaves together your diverse experiences. This is what college admissions officers want to see – your authentic narrative.For college applicants, a comprehensive application that meaningfully enhances their candidacy typically requires about 15 hours of focused collaboration over 6 to 12 weeks.

We work on creating customized organization systems that your student will truly use, as well as tracking and completing weekly assignments.
